Little Astros Fan

We just got back from a "perfectly lovely" visit to Houston. We went to go visit Franklin's Aunt Robbie. "Perfectly lovely" is what Franklin's Great-Grandmother would say. We heard lots of stories, looked at old family pictures and had a very nice visit with Rob. I love listening to family stories and hearing about the people that brought us where we are today. In this case, Franklin and David Franklin, who happen to be my 2 favorite men. I can ask some serious questions, so that's big fun for me!

She had a delicious dinner made for us on Friday night and then we struck out on Saturday. We went shopping, out to lunch at Pappadeux's, went to visit Robbie's school where she is the Assistant Principal, and we took our little slugger to the Astro's game on Saturday night against the Mets. His first pro baseball game and the first for Franklin and me in a very long time. Maybe since EX Formal in Kansas City! The Astro's were a game away from 1st place, but lost last night, unfortunately. We had a blast, but I wish they could have had a more exciting game. They lost 10 to 3. Of course, it didn't really matter that much to us because we listened to the end on the radio... we left in the 5th inning! We had 'game dogs' and even got one of those cheesy photos taken of all of us! David Franklin didn't watch much of the game, he chose to watch the people instead. He even took that bright, shiny, (empty) blue beer bottle from the man behind us! I know, it's bad to condone this but, it was pretty funny! Even strangers were flashing their cameras at the baby with the beer can.

It was so much fun. Thank you, Aunt Robbie!!!!! We miss you, already. We will really miss you on the morning when DF wakes up bright and early again (he did some GOOD sleeping at her house this weekend, which was heavenly!)

Fun times! I love the next-to-the-last-pic of DF, where it looks like Franklin is holding him up! He looks so handsome!! Too cute ~ Have fun!
