Merry Christmas 2010!

I actually didn't take any pictures on Christmas day other than this one with my phone. We got a new video camera that I was trying to figure out instead, but I wasn't too successful at documenting much with that either.

This is what Mammers got DF at her new house. Franklin and Uncle Jase stayed up late Christmas Eve putting it together and it was such a fun surprise. This boy loves to jump. Jump in place, jump on beds, couches, tables......etc. The term bouncing off the walls literally applies to him, so this was perfect for him.

We had a wonderful Christmas day! Santa came to our house, then lunch at Mammers and dinner at Meme and Grampa's. We hope you all had a Merry Christmas too!

We have been full of Christmas around here (just like everyone else)! We had David F's school Christmas party,a tacky Christmas sweater party, and the Johnson's came to spend the night and have Christmas with us. Jack and David F. had the best time together. To say those two played their little hearts out is an understatement.... They both were up before 6:00 ready to play!! We had a great visit and now it's time to finish up shopping and get ready for the big day and the big guy coming soon!

Breakfast with Santa/ Ligon Christmas

This Saturday was a big day. We started off with Breakfast with Santa at St. Luke's and then we had our Ligon family Christmas at my cousin, Sarah's cabin in New Boston, TX. It was a day in heaven for David Franklin. Santa, a school bus (Vince drives a bus and it was at their house), a pig, playing in the leaves, first 4-wheeler ride, feeding the fish in the pond, presents, and cake! Basically all of his favorite things squeezed into one day. We had a blast!!

Christmas Cheer

We had a whole day of Christmas cheer yesterday, and I really needed it because this month I started out as a Scrooge. I'm just not great at decorating or shopping and it wasn't fun for me, it was a hassle and I was dreading it and getting discouraged. BUT I read a Christmas devotion about savoring the season, and looking at everything through the wonderment of a child and I had a much needed attitude adjustment. Not to mention, my friend mailed me a surprise Christmas CD mix that is fab-u-lous and that totally helped get me into the spirit!







We went to the Christmas Tree farm and picked out our Christmas tree which has become a tradition and was really fun for David Franklin! He wanted to carry it and cut it and ran through all of the trees trying to pick one out. We came home and put it up and had a great time decorating it with only a few destroyed ornaments. We mailed out our Christmas cards, did some things around the house and then met the Choates, Herndons, Greens, and Wrubelskys for dinner at Red Oak Station, which is a really cute, old fashioned gas station/restaurant. Then we headed to Garvan Gardens to see the lights. It was a really fun night and the kiddos loved it! We also made it before it got too busy and too cold. Tis the Season, and I am ready for it all now!
