My Preschooler...or Black eyed P
Nora was thrilled to start her school year in Mrs. Bogle's class!! She had a great day even sporting the black eye! She's still a knockout!!! ...pun intended! :)
My big 3 year old!
My big 3 year old!
My Kindergartener!!

I'm not allowed on the slide anymore. I can't hold his sweet hands and lead him through the halls. It's my first step in letting him go, but he's ready to fly and he will SOAR. And you better believe I'm there in my heart and ready to catch him and dust him off each day. He's covered in prayer, he's my first born love, he's got this. Kindergarten, here he comes!! This picture was taken on the playground at the park when he was 1!
So handsome!
Our drop off was quick, it was a rainy day and I was sad we didn't have more pictures and we weren't even allowed in the halls, but it was probably for the best. I held it together, but I cried in the car with Franklin. (He didn't really get it, but was sweet). I then went to a breakfast with other moms that was aptly called a "Sip and Sob" since we had all dropped off our kindergarteners for the first time. We looked at baby pictures and their first day pics and said a prayer for our children and their teachers.
I read this book to DF before bed, and when the baby cried out at 3:00 I had a hard time falling back asleep. So... I crept into DF's room and rubbed at his sweet face and said the same words I had read to him right before bed; I'll love you forever, I'll like you for always, as long as I'm living my baby you'll be.
I know, I know, I just couldn't help it!!
Black eyed Beauty
Thursday night after open house we went to Razorback pizza with several other families. The kids were over excited and running wild. We were telling Nora not to run and to be careful but she was trying to keep up with the big kids and ran right off of the stage and hit her head on he concrete floor. It was about 3 feet tall.
It was awful. But no open wound or concussion. A doctor and a few nurses were there and they checked her out. Said they thought she looked fine so we didn't take her in. We watched her closely all night, checking her pupils. The next morning she woke up with a shiner and it's continued to change colors by the hour. It's dark purple now which we told her looks like make up and she loves that. We went to the circus on Saturday and I added purple eye shadow to he other eye and let her wear lip gloss and she felt so glamorous.
She is one tough cookie, I just wish she would stop trying to prove it!! I wish I could wrap her in bubble wrap from head to toe!
She is so precious to me and I have been enjoying her so much lately. She happier since getting her tonsils out. I think she felt bad most of the the time :(. Her disposition has changed somewhat and she seems happier overall. I am soooo grateful she is feeling better, now if we could get this eye healed! I pray for her health and protection, ALL the time!
I put the biggest bow she has on to try to mask it...not sure it worked. :)

Open Houses
Nora already knew her teacher was Mrs. Bogle but she loved seeing her new class and cubbie! She's very excited to begin her 3 year old class!
David Franklin found out who his Kindergarten teacher is and it's who we were hoping for, Ms. Roberson! I've known her my entire life and she loves him already. She's a long friend of my moms and her son, Harry and my brother David were good friends and played tennis together. So special that she's his teacher! He will be in great hands.
Tomorrow's the big day!
Saying goodbye to maddy paddy
Madelyn came and told us goodbye before she left for college and we were all sad but especially Nora. The Albright girls have been our babysitters and a huge part of our lives and we will miss Madelyn SO much! We are proud of her and the woman she's become and know she will do great things.
Thanks for loving my babies and taking such good card of them! You are like family to us!!

Holding on to summer for dear life.
Back to school party for the new kindergarteners at HSCC!
Lake day with friends. All of the kids did not actually ride the tube at one time- don't worry! We tied up in a cove and they were swimming and jumping off of it.
Buddies!
Fun at Magic Springs with friends!
DF did this big slide with his "girlfriend" Kate Van Bebber, over and over again. She's on his right. They are really good buddies but say they are boyfriend and girlfriend. Some of the boys have started teasing him about playing with a girl, etc, and it got to him a little bit, but still proudly says she's his girlfriend and loves to play with her. They are just sweet friends.
Lemonade stand- a childhood staple. They raised almost $50 after they each paid themselves $2 for their hard work. The rest they are donating to an animal shelter that Adalie visited. She said she wanted to give the money to "poor cats." She's going into second grade and did all of the signs. "The kids lemonade sell". Perfect!
And the fun continues- more swim parties, open houses and we are headed to the Big Top in little rock on Saturday!
