Nora's class field trip to Family Farm

She and Aubrey Kate were all giggles on the swings and train!
Nora loves her teacher

Today was the St. Luke's field trip to Family Farm. It was a beautiful day and perfect weather. Mammers and Isaac came along too. It was MAMMERS first time to go on a field trip and she loved it. They rode a little train, hay ride, hay maze, petting zoo, swings, and got to pick out a pumpkin to bring home. It was such a fun day together. We missed DF, but his class goes in a couple weeks so we will be back! :)

Family photos 2014

We wanted some new family photos and franklin suggested having them taken at the farm in Glenwood. It couldn't have been a better suggestion because we all had fun and it was a great night! We fished, rode the tractor, DF got to shoot his BB gun and they got to dig into watermelon. We also established the farm as an LLC the week these photos were taken and it's named the Ligon Family Farms. A special place indeed.

Shannon La Duke took them and she's a wonderful photographer who is also a lot lf fun. Her talent is amazing and these photos are already treasures to me. She took 100+ so these are just a few. I'm making a book with the rest of them.

Here are just a few favorites that she sent us; the CD will be arriving any time!

Life updates

It was spirit week for homecoming at lakeside last week and it was fun!
This was crazy hair/ pj day :)
This was crazy sock/sunglasses day. Nora begged to wear crazy socks too, so I thought why not!? Except, I had forgotten it was her school picture day so she will be in her tshirt and crazy socks. Memories 😊
This boy had been sick with some stomach issues but I think he's back on track. I sure do love him!
My partner! He's keeping me on my toes now every second now that he's mobile.
DF is on the left at age 10months and Isaac is on the right at 7 months. Bros.
Franklin's job promotion made the local news. We are so proud of him!!!
DF wanted a new big boy haircut when he turned 6 and although he doesn't look thrilled here (first time with the clippers and he didn't enjoy that). He is very happy with his new look. He looks 2 years older to me!

SIX

We had a power outage the night before DF's birthday due to a thunderstorm. He woke up to a candlelight breakfast and instead lf our usual pancake birthday breakfast, we had donuts since our oven is electric. He loved it and had a great day! We surprised him at school for lunch and he had his pick for dinner that nigh- a first for our family: CiCi's Pizza. (He had seen a commercial apparently). Then we went to the lakeside football game.

He wanted to campout for his birthday so franklin invited some father/son duos and they went to Glenwood to camp at the farm. I think they all had a big time!

Before the campout he had a soccer game. He played great! I can't believe this stud is 6 and each year my love grows right with him!

The camping boys.

The camp all set up- I think the dads have just as much fun as the boys!
He wanted a razorback football player cookie cake- a surprise change from the Ninja turtles he originally requested.
They had glow sticks at night- a big hit I understand!
And how he arrived home at 11am. I think it's a birthday he will always remember.

Mexico

The whole group
Wes and I reading on the beach! I actually read a whole book....amazing!

Franklin saw this hammock on the website and wanted to get in it since we booked this vacation many months ago- ta dah!

We set sail last week on a true vacation with 3 other couples- no baby monitors, no meals to fix or diapers to change and it was such a treat!!!

We went for a long weekend to Playa Mujeres which is about 1/2 an hour outside of Cancun. Mammers kept all 3 kids part of the time, and Meme and Grandpa had the older two part of the time and it worked perfectly!  They are super grandparents and if there were bumps in the road, we didn't hear about it. We are very grateful to them!! Without them and our peace of mind, it never would have happened. THANK YOU! We came back ready and refreshed and are back in the deep end going 90 to nothing and feel very blessed to do so!!
