Franklin has accepted a new job with Arvest Bank and had a week off of work before he started. We took advantage of that time and booked a last minute trip to New York. It was short but super sweet and just what we needed. We didn't do many touristy things but stayed in Soho and ate our way through the city. We had great meals, cocktails, and weather. We loved our time and it was a great getaway from the May crazy schedule for me and stress for him. We can't wait to go back- but the kids say they are coming next time!! :)

Pre-K Fun Day
Pre-K had their fun day on the football field where they get to go on all kinds of bouncy houses and eat popcorn and have a blast. It was a blast though of cold air and was FREEZING that morning. My fingers were numb by the end of it, but Ikey had a great time and didn't seem to notice the cold, and even requested purple cow ice cream afterwards with his buds.
School day fun!

Pre sleep
Franklin loves to what the calls "pre sleep" and doze off on the couch or chair or anywhere before actually going to bed. Nora knows this about her daddy and so she asks him to lay with her for a little while after reading a book. She is smart and she is betting on this to happen- which often does. They are both happy, peaceful, and blissfully asleep together for a little while on many nights a week and I had to get a pic of the cuteness with their heads together.
Pre-K party
The Pre-K Egg Hunt was cancelled due to rain which was pretty disappointing, but the parents seemed more down about it than the kids. They were so happy to open eggs and get mini erasers and balls and stickers, so that's all that matters. Cute class, and Monica ( the girl in the pink bow in front of Isaac) sits beside him at the table and she told me, "Isaac is very funny here." He seemed pleased with that declaration, and then wanted to make her laugh the whole rest of the party- it worked :)
isaac bass (he helped me with this post and just typed his name for the first time!)

4th Grade Field Trip to the Ballpark
The 4th graders headed to Little Rock to Dickey Stevens park to watch the Arkansas Travelers play baseball on Wednesday. It was a great day, with a lot of cloud cover, good hits, and we had a blast with DF and the kids in his class.
Fairy Garden(s)
Nora and Isaac love to pretend play and I saw a cute idea I thought they'd have fun with, a fairy garden for Nora and a Gnome/ animal garden for Isaac. They have enjoyed it, and have named them and created a whole world ... all from items from the Dollar Store- Win!
DF is not into the garden, but did like digging and helping them with the dirt/ building aspect of it. Then he ditched them and grabbed a fishing pole instead.
