DF and Nora both had Christmas PJ parties in their class. And since they were on different days- they got to wear the same elf onesie! Isaac had pj week at MDO and his party was Thursday, since the big kids were out of school they got to go!

From the Coast to the Country
Last weekend we went to the Johnson Farm for our Christmas celebration. The kids rode the go cart, tire swing, horses, hay ride, and more. They got filthy, saw no screens, only balls and board games, and each other and never once asked for a show, tv, etc. They decorated sugar cookies, told stories, played pretend and listened to us reminisce and tell old stories. Dad built a new barn so I got him a sign that seemed most appropriate for it. :)
The Greatest Cast, and the Greatest Friend!
Nora said she wanted a glitter cast. Her "Wessy" called a week later with glitter in her shopping cart and said I researched it and when are we doing the glitter cast! It's the coolest, sparkeliest, best cast in the world and we could not love our Wessy more. Who does that???? Researches, buys, and does glitter on her back porch for her friend's kid? Wesley does, and it's not only because she is creative and loving, but because Nora may have top spot in her eyes. They are tight and love each other and it makes my heart so happy and grateful to know Nora has an auntie that loves her like her Wessy. People have seriously stopped us to ask where she got that cast- I think there may be some $$ in the future for Wes if she wants a business.
Californication
We got to go to LA, and the wildfires were at bay. I was worried, but it was under control and clear when we got there! My kids love the Morphew kids and had the best time, it was go go go!!! I loved it when they asked for their cousins. Night swimming, bowling, birthday party, Santa Monica pier, beach, UCLA, fancy dinner, and backyard playing/swimming in December! Such precious time that we don't get very often. I love Lauren and Jason and their kids and so do mine. Like Teddy said to DF in the car on the way to the Pier..." Dabid Fwankwin... I love you. I love you too." It was genuine, and unsolicited and touched my heart! Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, and Happy Birthday Morphews!
Christmas Parties
DF and Nora both had PJ Christmas parties and they both wanted to wear the same Elf onesie. Since they were on different days- done! Games, candy, sweet friends, etc. We are thankful for great teachers, people, and memories made! Nora was so excited she woke up at 4:45 and was bouncing off the walls- that is a good feeling for a parent. Lakeside teachers are out of the park and DF did a habitat project and presentation today he told me about and was so proud of. Nora's teacher had the class write their spelling words with their opposite hands so they could see what Nora was going through with her cast. I mean... not only teaching spelling, but empathy. THANKFUL!!!!
