Vacation

We went to Perdido Key, Florida last week and skipped the last week of school.  We beat the crowds and got a jump start on our summer!  We went with the Choates, Herndons and Mammers joined us too.  We relaxed and have not been gone that long in years.  We are more 3-4 day people so a full week away was so nice!   DF was in the water for hours and loved it, the waves and going out as far as he could without being called back in.  Isaac loved the sand and playing with that and Nora, liked it all but mostly wanted the pool :)
Nora, DF and I went parasailing together and it was "better than they thought it would be"  neither one was afraid and they seem to love adventure like their momma!  Isaac and Franklin waited on land for us, but got to ride the banana boat out to pick us up!

Nora had an especially great time because she turned 6 years old at the beach.  She got a mermaid skirt, had a beach cake from Publix and we went to the Crabtrap for dinner that has a beach playground.  She loved every minute and all the attention that she got!  I still can't believe she is six years old, but I think it will be a great year for her and she is sure looking taller and taller.  Speaking of that, DF is too and measured himself on our measuring stick at home and he's grown 2 full inches in 5 months!  These kids just keep on growing!!!!

Big Top Circus!

This leotard and tights had it's second trip to the Kindergarten Circus!  I wore it in 1986 when I was an acrobat!  I couldn't believe it when Nora said she wanted to be an acrobat and wanted to wear my costume- that mom actually saved for me! We added some feathers and a skirt and brought it to 2017.  She felt like a million bucks and had a blast!!!!  We had a little after party at our house for her friends and an early birthday celebration.

Wrapping up the school year

DF participated in a Basketball camp Lakeside High School put on and he won the Teammate award! He also had a class field trip and end of year party at Hollywood Park and Shults Greenhouse. Franklin was invited to come to his class to speak on career day and I was invited to Nora's class because they made me cards and a beautiful plant for being their home room mom.  We planted it by the boardwalk and it's right be David Franklin's turtle rock from his year in Ms. Roberson's class.

Nora had a donut date the last day of school with her buddy, Merritt and had a fabulous year~  Now bring it on summer!

2nd grade Track and Field Day Fun!

I have to say, that DF made us all so proud that day.  He didn't win a lot of blue ribbons (1), but he was such a good sport and kind to a kid in his class that was really loosing it and having a hard time.  So tender and noticed and reached out.  He had a great attitude and a lot of fun and you know who he was most excited to see, his baby brother.  He even asked if Isaac could be on his team and participate with him.  He gave him his ribbons and this kid has a heart of GOLD!

Mother's Day weekend

Mother's Day weekend was full, but it was wonderful.  I had sweet homemade cards and gifts that they were so happy to give me, and Franklin did a lot to make it special for me and I appreciate him so much.  We also blew up the fiesta island that Mammers got the kids for Christmas and it was a hit, so much fun!  When I was little all I ever wanted to truly be is a mom.  It is my greatest joy and I am so thankful for my family.

Pauline has new beagle puppies

And my kids loved them all!  They got to name them: Cora, Rosie, Sunshine, Buddy and B.J. (for Bo Jr.).  DF especially fell in love with B.J. He was even in tears about leaving him behind.  The last thing we need is another dog, but it was hard to say goodbye.  We will be going back to visit our new friends SOON!

In this picture, they said these dogs are brother and sister, and we are brother and sister :)
