We had a great Memorial weekend in Hot Springs. We hung out with good friends and family, had lots of fun in the sun, and great food at cook outs too!! It was a little different for me this year-but thank goodness for O'Doule's! I have posted one picture where you can see my growing 'bump'. It isn't the best pic. but you can see I have one now for sure! Franklin felt the baby kick for the first time last night...amazing!
Franklin and I have gotten suggestions from friends to start a blog. We have decided to try- even though we have never done anything like this before. With so many friends and family out of town we thought this would be a fun way to keep everyone updated on the growth of our family now that we are expecting!! I am 20 weeks pregnant and we are SO excited! We will welcome a baby BOY due October 9th. His name will be David Franklin and we can't wait to meet him!
Since we have a while before the baby arrives- these first few months could be pretty dull but once he gets here I will do my best to keep this page good and updated. I have posted a few ultrasound pictures. One with him waving to us (so cute) and another where he shows us his goodies. I think this is the only time I will ever show pictures of those :)You can click on the picture to zoom in, I know ultrasounds aren't the easiest to read! We hope you enjoy our new family blog. Oh, and I will also start taking pictures of my growing belly so you can see how big I get....I think. I may chicken out on that, but probably not. It is pretty neat to see if I do say so myself.
I am Amanda and I love being a wife and mother. I have the family of my dreams! Motherhood is the most fulfilling, exhausting, rewarding, difficult, fun, and important calling on my life right now. Franklin and I have been married for over 9 years and I am lucky I get to live life with such a great husband and father. We are the proud parents of David Franklin, Nora and Isaac. We have a puppy, Maple, who has added lots of energy to the house! ;) We love to travel, spend lots of time with family and friends and really appreciate all of our blessings in life! This blog is an online journal, scrapbook/ baby book for our growing, busy, wild, little family. If you are looking for grammatically correct, politically correct, stimulating information on current events, I am sorry I can't provide that for you here, but I can tell you what my children are up to and how they are growing on a semi-regular basis. That is in between changing diapers, kissing boo boos, and pouring the chocolate milk!
Welcome to the Bass Family Blog! :)
